When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital in Yorktown VA have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. Call (757) 599-3326 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This should include a full physical exam, a fecal (to check for intestinal parasites), a heartworm test (for dogs) and any vaccinations your pet might need. Our doctors will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital for service.
Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Drs. Freeman, Mitzel, DeAngelis and Mullen can still work with whatever information you have.
When you arrive, please check in with one of our receptionists. They will go over your pet's needs for annual visits and take a brief history for sick appointments. If you know of any medications or products you need (such as heartworm prevention, prescription foods, etc.), please let them know at this time. After you are checked in, you will be asked to take a seat until your doctor's assistant comes to get you and your pet for the appointment. During your appointment, you can discuss any problems, questions or concerns you have about your pet with your veterinarian. After the appointment, a receptionist will alert you once all the charges are in and any medications or products you requested are filled and ready for you. If you need to schedule any follow up appointments, surgery, or an appointment for another pet, our receptionists would be more than happy to help you with this.
